It's been a minute since I posted, but, you know, Real Life and all that.

I'm feeling pretty damn good right now. I wrote something not too long ago, just for kicks, and some people are reading it and really seem to dig it. it's a pretty awesome feeling when you try something for the first time and get a lot of positive feedback out of it. So, huzzah for me.

My oldest pal Jen is coming into town from Nebraska, and Its been far too long since I've seen her. She's in my wedding, so this is a excellent thing as it will actually give me time to talk to her about it and catch up and blah blah blah.

I'm steadily making my house into what I want it to be--Justin and I do a little at a time, a bedroom set here, a piece of art there, and it's all coming together rather nicely. We went to Michaels to have some really great drawings framed and discovered that our pictures, of which there were four, would cost a lovely $133 each to frame. We quickly said 'fuck that noise' and went and bought four lovely frames for the sum of like, $70, and framed them ourselves. They look awesome and we felt proud for being both crafty and thrifty. My mam came to visit and had a good time until some psychopath went speeding down our road and hit her car, which was parked in front of our house. That was a bummer, so I took her out where we imbibed lots of alcohol, and forgot our troubles for a minute or two.

Overall, things are looking up--not that they were ever really shitty or anything, it's just that when someone asks me how things are and I reply with, 'can't complain', I really can't this time. It's nice.
